Illustration has always been interesting and fun for me because it's primarily about problem solving through narrative with a single image. Illustrations always have to be immediately communicative, but also subdued, since they tend to end up as an accompaniment to something else, often text. It's always fun to straddle that line between getting someone's attention while staying out of the way.
